Representative Role OverviewA valuation advisory firm, investment bank, accounting firm, or corporate finance group may seek a Business Valuation Officer to support enterprise valuation, transaction analysis, and financial advisory engagements .

Key ResponsibilitiesPerform business valuations using DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, and asset-based approaches
Build and maintain detailed valuation and financial models to assess enterprise and equity value
Conduct industry, market, and company-specific research to support valuation assumptions
Support valuations for M&A transactions, fairness opinions, financial reporting, tax, and strategic planning
Prepare valuation summaries, exhibits, and client-ready presentations
Assist with due diligence, data validation, and normalization of financial statements
Collaborate with senior valuation professionals, bankers, auditors, and advisory teams
Support documentation and review processes in line with professional and regulatory standards
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, or a related discipline
Strong foundation in valuation methodologies and financial modeling
High analytical rigor with strong attention to detail
Ability to translate quantitative analysis into clear written and visual insights
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple valuation workstreams in a deadline-driven environment
Prior internship or experience in valuation advisory, investment banking, accounting, consulting, or corporate finance is beneficial
Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and financial research platforms
