What You'll Do

• Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications that shape the future of the dating landscape
\n
• Partner closely with Product, Design, Data, and Matchmaking teams to translate business needs into scalable solutions
\n
• Spearhead architectural decisions that help shape the future of our platform
\n
• Develop AI-powered features and workflows to improve customer experiences and internal operations
\n
• Build high-quality, maintainable systems that prioritize performance, reliability, and scalability
\n
• Improve engineering processes, development standards, and technical best practices
\n
• Mentor other engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence
\n
• Partner with our ML team to integrate models directly into the product experience
\n

What We're Looking For

This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for a Staff/Lead-level engineering leader who can build quickly, make strong technical decisions, and help turn an early product thesis into a working product.

Qualifications

\n
• 8-10+ years of professional software engineering experience
\n
• Experience designing scalable APIs and distributed systems
\n
• Experience building AI-powered applications, workflows, or integrations using modern LLM technologies
\n
• Strong understanding of software architecture, testing, and maintainability
\n
• Ability to balance speed, quality, and pragmatic decision-making
\n
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
\n
• Interest in mentoring junior engineers
\n
• Experience with 0 to 1 initiatives
\n

Required Skills

\n
• Proficiency in TypeScript
\n
• Experience with NextJS, React, TailwindCSS, tRPC
\n
• Experience with NestJS, Prisma, Postgres
\n
• Familiarity with AWS and GCP
\n

Preferred Skills

\n
• Experience with recommendation or matching systems, marketplaces, or personalization
\n
• Prior experience at an early or growth-stage startup
\n
• CS degree or related technical degree
\n
